This summer we have been working on putting up new walls between the neighbors yards. The owner of the house before us had put up wood fences and they were falling down. We decide to build retaining walls that were made out of stones. This was a long process of pulling out the old walls, digging ditches, and building the wall. The digging and preparing the ground took at least three weekends. The first wall took the whole day. We started a 8am and finished about 7pm. The hardest part was laying the first layer and making sure they were level. The other wall didn't take quite as long but it did take most of the day. Dylan and Garth did a lot of work, but we had help from Sachi, Joe, Jen, and mom and day. It was alot of hard work but we have them finished and they look great. Here are some pictures.
